Trey Ratcliff to Keynote in Toronto Did you hear the news? Photographer, artist, writer and adventurer Trey Ratcliff will be kicking off TBEX Toronto as the opening keynote speaker.
Trey is a pioneer in the world of High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography and has half a million readers who come to his StuckInCustoms.com blog every month to see the new photos he uploads daily. One of his images is the first HDR photograph to hang in the Smithsonian. His accomplishments are even more incredible because Trey was born blind in one eye! This is a keynote you don’t want to miss.
Twitter Chats: A Great Way to Network, Learn and (Sometimes) Make Money
“For those who still think Twitter is a time-suck about what you ate for lunch, chats are a surprisingly efficient way to do a huge amount of learning and professional development in a short period of time (one hour) plus meet and network with other chat participants. That’s important because the value of Twitter is in finding and following smart people, then learning from them.”

First off I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to writing.
I’ve had a tough time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Thank you!
Hi,
I’ve not had writer’s block, so your question is difficult for me to answer. My most challenging aspect is carving out a specific time to sit down and write. When I am doing it, I do not look at email and frequently do not answer the phone, as it is too easy to be sidetracked.
I do spend 15 to 30 minutes a day social networking–marketing my material, but try not to get caught up in it or I won’t get my stories done. Thanks for commenting. ~MDH
