It took just a few pages before I was caught up in Crete, past and present. Aurelia with her research, passion, and love of the area, weaves the folklore, customs, mysteries, cuisine, and people into a novel that holds your interest all the way through.
Legends of the past are still prevalent today. Others bring old and new together. Not being Greek, it gave me a better understanding of this island and its people, as each area has its own customs.
Aurelia was able to bring a romantic love, difficulties, problems, and solutions to light in an enlightening and enjoyable read.
