In 1983, I was in a week long program at the University of Wisconsin. The focus was taking responsibility for yourself, what’s good about it, and maximizing your life to the fullest. At the time, Sid Shore lectures were a light bulb going on for me. It resonated that I could only be responsible for my own happiness. I could enhance someone’s life, but I could not insure their happiness.

This quote from Regina Brett says the same thing in a simpler fashion:

”No one is in charge of your happiness but you.”

If any of you have success tips or quotes, we would appreciate receiving them and sharing.
