This may seem to be an unusual topic for me to feature in Success with Writing. However, I strongly believe the better we understand people, the better writers we become.
I attended my first NTL class on T-Groups in 1988 while working on my degree in Organizational Development. It gave me such a wonderful understanding of different people, I feel it has enabled me to write better stories based on understanding and valuing differences.
NTL is open to more than college or university students. It is open to anyone wanting to learn.

The NTL Institute (www.ntl.org) Training Group, best known as a T-Group, is a proprietary, highly experiential learning structure offered by the NTL Institute for 65 years. While its basic principles remain, the T-Group, as a learning technology, has adapted to the demands of the modern world and today is still a unique, vibrant, powerful learning structure. Participants in a T-Group work together in a small group for an extended time. Learning comes from analysis of participants’ own experience, including feelings, reactions, perception and behavior. A T-Group is usually a significant part of a larger learning laboratory design that includes theory presentations, instruments and experiential exercises.
.
In this webinar, NTL Institute faculty Dr. Barbara Brewer and Ed Mayhew will be leading an interactive discussion about the history, structure, outcomes and real world applications of the T-Group. They will be joined by an NTL Institute client, who will discuss the reasons she refers participants to NTL Institute T-Groups and the value her organization receives. Another individual participant who will also join us and discuss her experience in the T-Group.
.
We will conclude this interactive webinar with a time for general discussion and a Question and Answer session led by the NTL Institute faculty.
