Lifting photos from the internet, is not legal and could be costly. Photographers deserve credit.

I’ve wondered how people find free photos they can use by just giving credits?

Also, how do I get credit when someone want’s to use mine?

Well now I’ve some great suggestions. While I should have been packing my briefcase, I stopped to look at incoming emails. There was one from Don Crowther covering this topic. Not only did I read it, I click through to his web page and watched the video.

The video is excellent and I highly recommend it. It is simple with great tips.

Here is Don’s post:

Need a picture for your next blog post, webpage or mailing?

You could do what most people do: go to Google Images and grab an image there. But you should be aware that you are literally risking tens, maybe even millions in legal fees and damages every time you do so.

But there is a way to get them quickly, easily, and freely! (Had to keep that -ly trend going, my English teacher’s trying to decide whether she should be proud or rolling over in her grave right now.)

I’ve put together a quick blog post and video that walks you step-by-step through the entire process. You can find it here:

Nothing for sale, just a tip to help you improve your websites at no risk!

I’m also searching out some sites when you get paid for your photography. After I have more information, I’ll provide the sources.
