Hand out plenty of business cards with a photo or name of your book and how to buy it.

A bookmark is another good business card.

Send out copies of your books for marketing to targeted markets.

Network and line up speaking engagements. Local service clubs such as Rotary, Kiwanis, and the Chamber of Commerce are often looking for local speakers for their weekly or monthly meetings.

Distribution — Many authors give a complimentary copy of their book to the library. In turn, the library writes an announcement or review for their publication. Plan on distributing many free copies of your book to places that will get exposure. We have ours at a coffee shop and art gallery where people order autographed copies. Use your imagination to determine the best spots. Don’t forget your supermarket, it works.
