Cathy Stucker, The Idea Lady, always provides helpful hints and services. I was drawn to her immediately as in the 70s and 80s, I was called “The Idea Lady.” The slogans of my marketing company were “Our ideas make a difference,” and “Together, we can make it happen.” Ideas have also come quickly and I relish them.

Cathy offers a service called “Blogger LinkUp.”

As many of us know, we welcome guest bloggers and are frequently are guest bloggers. However, many do not know where to go to find these connections.

Cathy’s “Blogger LinkUp” offers the following benefit:

Request Guest Posts
Offer Guest Posts
Request Sources for Interviews
Offer Products for Review/Giveaway
Announce Contests and Giveaways

Cathy has also posted some good ideas for having your email message read and I quote:

Want to get a better response from your BLU offers? Craft an
attention-getting headline.

Many BLU members scan the list of offers then scroll down to read
the details of any that interest them. A headline saying, “I want
to write for your blog,” doesn’t tell them anything about your
topics or what you have to offer.

When requesting posts, can you work in a benefit to guest bloggers?
For example, “PR5 Blog Wants Your Gadget Posts.”

When offering posts, perhaps include a few words about your
qualifications: “Teacher Tells How to Help Your Kids Get Better
Grades.”

Your offer should be free of grammar and spelling errors, and this
is especially important for your headline.

Make your offer stand out without resorting to gimmicks, such as
all caps or lots of special characters (e.g., **!!Great Posts
Available!!**).
